Mad hatter from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
Ok, so long story short, it turns out that they turned Alice in Wonderland into a ballet, and H and I watched it at christmas and we love it! My favourite parts are the Duchesses cottage and the Mad hatter's tea party. Now, the whole thing is ballet, but the hatter is actually a tap dancer, and it's absolutely amazing! he is now my favourite version of the Mad hatter ever!
So that's where the design came from (including the outfit and the cakes and stuff in the background. They're props on stage and stuff). There's quite a bit of detail on his coat collar and cuffs, and considering this is done on A4, that's really small scale detail for me!
VERY proud of this one; just hope others can see it the same way I do!

I rather like the Royal Ballet's Mad Hatter, myself. His hat, itself, may possibly my favorite out of them all.
Nice picture; Hatter looks like a woman (was that your intention?), but, then again, it's hard to look especially masculine with a pink tie-dye coat and strawberry hair. (Steven McRae looks fantastic in that outfit, nevertheless.)
