Chibi Anju

BONUS; Chibi Anju! Because everyone needs a blue chicken in their life~

Because Anju didn't get much of a role in Ocarina of Time (as in, they didn't give her a name and she didn't do much other than give you a bottle and a blue cuckoo), I decided not to put her with the leading chibis in the big spread. However, she did appear in Majora's Mask, and - my God - that game is beautifully tragic! The impossible quest of stopping the moon from crashing into Termina feels a lot more real with all the sidequests, and watching how people react. There were 2 in particular that stood out for me; the first were the Romani Ranch sidequests. Once I'd done it a few times, I saw something that made me go back to talk to Romani and Cremia on the final day - and it was heart wrenching! I didn't think about it at first, but Cremia drugs Romani so she can die happily in her sleep and in the arms of her big sister....that's....just.....*cries*

The other sidequest, which most people think of first, is the Anju and Kafei quest. This is where Anju really gets the moment she was owed in Ocarina of Time. Basically, you have to reunite the two lovers before the moon crashes, but the groom (Kafei) had his wedding mask stolen and got turned into a child. The first time I played this, I failed at the last hurdle and had to leave Kafei locked in that room all on his own; that was upsetting enough; but when they actually get back together (with only 90 minutes before the moon crashes!), they decide to die with each other......and they hug, and even though he's still a child, she remembers how they promised to wed as children!............*cries harder*.......*wipes up tears*....she's a wonderful character, and if you wander around and find her when you're not doing the quest, then she's waiting for Kafei, and she has such faith in him - and it pays off. Easily one of the best sidequests in a Zelda game :')
