APH - Hong Kong Night (Watercolour)

This has been in the works for about a month, and when I drew it in my rough book, it was really REALLY bad! But because I had time at the caravan this weekend, I decided to redraw it properly. Got home, then scanned the lineart and painted it.

The process for this was...hard...not because of the painting or drawing, but because of the challenge I set myself while painting it. What I did was time myself, and played the song 'Maji Kandou Hong Kong Night' (which inspired this piece) for the whole time I was painting it. So in the end, I spent:

47 minutes painting it, and played that one song 13 times.

It's really good ting I like that song, becase as soon as I took my ear phones off, it felt like my ears were bleeding. LITERALLY bleeding! (I don't think I'll listen to that song for a while...)

What I'm planning to do with this is paint it (done), colour it in photoshop, and colour it in Manga Studio Debut (which is going to be my chosen prize for the Anna May contest~ ) I've also got the original crappy sketch on hold and the lineart for the final picture. I'll scan them and compare them once they're all done!
